Openings in Water and Pencil Color
This was a project for a textbook that covered the history of Minas Gerais. It was necessary to create illustrated openings for the chapters, which needed to reference the topics covered in each chapter. For this, the technique of watercolor pencils and watercolor was used, on Canson Montval and eggshell papers, which significantly contributed to the texture of the composition.
I studied all the topics of each chapter and searched for information and images that inspired the creation of the opening compositions. However, I needed to condense all the information into just one composition, and after that, they should follow the same pattern and style. This is the result.
The illustration was about the indigenous influence in Minas Gerais.
The illustration culture of Minas Gerais.
The illustration expressing the ancient people of Minas Gerais.
The illustration expressing the african culture in Minas Gerais.
The illustration expressing the african culture in Minas Gerais.
The book and where the illustrations were applied.
